Check in is 3:00pm and check out is 11:00am unless otherwise agreed upon.
Upon Arrival:
To check in, fill out the Registration Form and sign the Waiver of Release and Liability on the counter. (Call us and we will come by to pick it up and show you around.) All guests, parents or guardians of minor children, and visitors must sign our Waiver and Release of Liability Form. Anyone not doing so does not have permission to be on the premises and we are not liable for their actions.
Inspect the premises and report any damage or unusual conditions. If any damage occurs during your stay, please make us aware so there are no surprises when you leave. If any damages to the property have occurred, the cardholder who secured the reservations agrees that the card may be charged the full cost for repairs, replacement, stolen items and/or loss of rentals.
Visitors:
No more than the number of registered paying guests is allowed on the premises at any time unless approval in advance is granted. For example, if numerous family members or friends will be visiting for a day of festivities, an event fee will be charged to cover supplies, utilities, bath and laundry facilities, waste management, etc.
Pet Policy:
The Chalet is our only pet-friendly rental, but prior approval is required and the fee is $40 per pet per night. Small dogs only will be considered for approval at The Cottage (no fenced-in areas) and the fee and requirements are the same as The Chalet.
Pet owner is responsible for any damage or excessive cleanup caused by the pets.
It is required that pets not be left alone in house or outside unless in kennels.
If dogs are prone to barking when left alone, they must be taken with owners for any extended absence.
If pets are outside the fenced-in yard they must be on a leash.
Pet owner agrees to scoop yard before departure.
If pets are brought on the premises at any time without permission, a fee of $100 per night will be charged to your credit card.
Smoking Policy:
Smoking is not permitted inside the houses; however, there are ashtrays on the decks and porches. Please do not throw cigarette butts or trash on the grounds.
Availability of Local Services:
We are located in a remote area but there are community stores with 24 hour gas/diesel pumps and a restaurant only 4 to 5 miles away. The closest large grocery and liquor/beer stores are 18 to 25 miles away.
Waste Management:
We have provided separate labeled receptacles for burnable, recyclable, and disposable. We very much appreciate you separating your garbage for disposal as we have pickup only one day a week and are limited to 6 bags per week. Recyclables have to be taken into Center, TX on designated days.
Diapers need to be kept in a separate container. They do not burn!
Please do not leave any garbage outside for the animals to scatter. If you need removal, please call us and we will put it in our covered bin.
While Here:
Please help us conserve energy by turning off the lights and lowering or raising the thermostat if you plan to be gone for any period of time. We do not assume responsibility or issue discounts for loss of utilities including electricity, water, satellite TV, and internet services due to circumstances beyond our control. If services are disrupted, it’s usually for a short period of time and we will do everything in our power to rectify the situation. The houses are equipped with emergency nightlights and battery operated candles.
While we want your visit to be a pleasurable one, remember: this is a residential area. Please be considerate of our other guests and neighbors! PROFANITY, LOUD MUSIC, AND ROWDY BEHAVIOR WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.
We reserve the right to enter and inspect our facilities during your stay. Should any conditions listed herein be violated we reserve the right to have you vacate the premises forfeiting your entire rental fees.
Upon Departure:
In order to avoid any clean up charges, place used towels in the laundry room, leave the used beds unmade, clean all dishes, sweep floors, wipe up any messes, especially on the stovetop and countertops, etc. In general, leave it the way you would like to find it upon your arrival. Any excessive cleanup will be charged to your credit card at $35 per hour.
